Best cafes to work from in Dubai

With International Coffee Day brewing (see what we did there), we thought it was a great time to share a list of our favourite work spots that serve great coffee.

Much as we love our Costa, when working remotely, we prefer to base ourselves somewhere a bit different, with a good atmosphere, nice coffee, a healthy menu, and plenty of plug sockets and space to work (plus reliable WiFi of course).

With this in mind, our six favourite coffee shops to work from in Dubai include:

Social Company

Zabeel House The Greens

Love this little spot – it’s light and bright and has lots of greenery, which I always find inspirational. There are long bench tables to work from, great coffee and a tasty menu with a wide range of different options. The area is convenient and you can valet park if you are eating/drinking in the hotel – plus it’s in The Entertainer.

Roseleaf Café

Dubai Garden Centre

This café is located within the garden centre itself, with the majority of the café inside the conservatory. It can get a little warm in the conservatory in the summer, and lunchtime can get a little busy. The food is delicious, particularly the cakes, best enjoyed with a pot of tea!

Le Pain Quotidien

Springs Souk

This branch of the global café brand is particularly convenient. The mall is small, so it’s easy to park and navigate around, without losing too much time. Plus, it’s easy to grab any essentials on your way out! The staff are some of the friendliest around Dubai (and that’s saying something) – and the coffee is served by the pot.

Circle Café

Studio City

Again, another chain café conveniently located in Dubai, avoiding traffic. Parking is free for two hours in the car park, and there’s another free car park if you want to stay longer.  The salad’s are enormous and you can choose to work on the long bench, from a sofa, or at a table.

Nathalie’s

Fit Republik, Sports City

This café is part of Fit Republik, so it has a huge focus on sports nutrition with a delicious choice of protein shakes and superfoods. Parking is easy and there are plenty of tables – and with an open view of the gym, there’s a different view if you need a distraction.

Brambles

Citadines Metro Central Hotel, Barsha

This is the venue I host my workshops at, and for good reason. Parking is never a problem, it’s conveniently located away from high traffic areas, and has a metro station and taxi rank right outside. The light bright pinks on the walls are uplifting and fresh, there are a selection of different infused waters to help yourself to, and they do genuinely delicious healthy snacks – I can never leave without an oozing slab of delicious kale brownie (it’s good for you, right?)

Of course there are a multitude of other cafés and coffee shops across the city and new ones seem to spring up every week, but I wanted to write a short summary (I’ve got coffee going cold after all!) Please do let us know any other gems we are missing and should add to the list!
